  • The Thirteenth Presidency of PATS: Manuel A. Paris took executive command.
  • The First ATCSA Congress (November 22-26, 1972): Under the presidency of Dr. Paris and the founding vision of Dr. Zamora, PATS successfully hosted the First Congress of the Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons of Asia at the Manila Hilton. The event was a massive success, proving to the international community that the Philippines was fully capable of leading the continent in surgical education.
